Rotterdam/Vienna/Linz, April 29, 2021 - The first online store for sea and storage containers Eveon is now also available in Austria. After its successful launch in Germany, Vienna and Linz are the first locations outside the country. Thus Eveon continues its ambitious growth strategy – further locations in Austria and other countries are already planned.
Eveon is considered a disruptive force in the container market: the company is the first provider to combine transparent prices on its website with an online store that makes buying containers as easy as buying a pair of shoes online. Eveon is thus digitizing a non-transparent market where until now, to the great disadvantage of customers, prices were only available on request. Eveon is thus bringing digitization to a market that still functioned as it did in the 1990s.
"We are very pleased that our offer is now also available in Austria. After our great start in Germany, we are now ready to expand internationally. Already, more countries are in the planning stage and more locations will be added in the coming months. Within the next two and a half years, Eveon should be available globally," says Aad Storm, CEO and founder of Eveon.
Eveon supplies its private and business customers within a 250km radius of its locations with new and used sea and storage containers, in sizes commonly used in the industry. Eveon's business model is designed to actively reduce CO2 emissions from the container industry: Empty containers are sold and used regionally where they are unloaded, avoiding CO2-intensive trips with empty containers to worldwide ports.
The Dutch company Eveon was founded in October by the former Vice President and CDO of CARU Containers, Aad Storm. The company deliberately chose Germany and Austria as its first target markets, as customers in these countries have particularly high quality expectations. With Hamburg, Stuttgart, Munich, Bremen, Nuremberg and Berlin, the company already has six locations in Germany after just four months – and has already successfully integrated the qualitative feedback from its customers into its online store. Eveon's goal is to expand into other countries as soon as possible, and then to further accelerate its expansion. In this way, the offer should be available globally within two and a half years.
