We don’t just care about our customers...we care about the planet. Learn more about Eveon's committement to "used" over "new."

Every year, an estimated 3 to 6 million new shipping containers are manufactured worldwide. Surprisingly, 13–18% of these containers never enter active shipping service. Instead, they are diverted directly into land-based storage applications. While new production continues, millions of existing containers remain structurally sound and perfectly suited for storage use. Manufacturing new containers requires substantial amounts of steel, energy, and natural resources—contributing to carbon emissions and global resource depletion.
At Eveon Containers, we are committed to extending the life and purpose of the shipping container. For most storage applications, a quality used container performs just as effectively as a new one. By extending the life of existing containers, we help:
Choosing a used container isn’t just cost-effective, it’s environmentally responsible. We are committed to giving containers a meaningful second life on land, transforming surplus inventory into sustainable storage solutions.
At Eveon, our main job is helping our customers seamlessly order their containers. But we think it’s important to do this in a sustainable way, so we’ve set up these sustainability principles we’d like to share with you.
Containers are extremely strong. They have to be. Imagine being in the Sahara Desert one day, then traveling to the arctic circle in a month. They need to be tough. We cherish this toughness and believe shipping containers should have a second life after their life with shipping companies. We’re here to help our customers give containers a second life.
Our containers take the train rather than a truck. We take the train rather than the plane. When we must use planes or trucks, we do it consciously and minimally. We realize our business has an impact on the environment, it is our goal to minimize this impact.
We minimize our emissions, but they’re not zero. One important way we offset our emissions is by including delivery of our containers to our customers.
On a yearly basis, we publish our environmental performance. We measure what counts, which is why we measure our environmental performance. We publish these results because we think accountability is important.
We want our business to flourish. We want our partners, team, our customers, and the world around us to flourish too. This is at the core of what we do every day. To work this mentality out into concrete action, we’re on path to become part of the global B Corp community.
Whether it is supporting students with an internship or supporting a like-minded entrepreneur, we thrive on collaboration. Our dream is to have a network of container changers around us.
Purchasing a used shipping container from Eveon Containers vs. buying a new container is good for the planet.
The production of one single container emits almost 12,000 kilos of CO2 (based on a 20ft container).
That’s equal to transporting that container from Memphis to Chicago, 15 times.
Used containers are significantly cheaper than new containers and fulfill most jobs just as well.
