Eveon gives a second life to used shipping containers by selling or renting them as a storage solution for primarily businesses. Our Rotterdam office focuses on finance, IT development, data, and online paid media advertising. ## The Role We're looking for an Operations Coordinator to be the operational backbone of our trucking and logistics operations. You'll manage daily coordination with our network of over 50 depots across the US and Canada, work with carriers (both owner-operators and brokers), maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure customer orders are delivered smoothly. This is a fast-paced, reactive role where you'll juggle multiple priorities, solve problems in real-time, and keep operations running without disruption. You'll support the Trucking Network & Operations Manager in resolving customer complaints, monitoring carrier performance, and improving our transportation network. You'll also actively prospect for new carriers to strengthen our network and improve service levels. This role requires someone who stays calm under pressure, communicates directly, and takes ownership of getting things done. This role reports to the Trucking Network & Operations Manager and works closely with the Customer Care team, container suppliers, depots, and carriers on a daily basis. ## What You'll Do ### Carrier & Depot Coordination - Maintain daily communication with carriers regarding schedules, delivery updates, and operational concerns - Monitor transportation-related emails and ensure timely responses and issue resolution - Coordinate with depots to resolve operational issues (container availability, access problems, delivery conflicts) - Respond to inventory questions from carriers, depots, and the Customer Care team - Communicate carrier changes and delivery updates to affected departments and customers when needed - Monitor carrier performance through ongoing tracking and provide operational feedback or warnings when necessary - Escalate serious carrier performance issues to the Trucking Network & Operations Manager for potential relationship termination ### Inventory & System Management - Process and maintain inventory updates in HubSpot and back-end systems to ensure accurate stock levels - Create and build new depot profiles as we expand our network - Update and maintain system information related to carriers, depots, and inventory - Ensure data accuracy across systems to support sales and operations teams ### Customer Complaint Resolution - Track customer complaints to ensure timely resolution and completion - Work with carriers, depots, and internal teams to actively resolve delivery and service issues - Support the Trucking Network & Operations Manager in addressing complex complaints - Document complaint resolution and identify patterns to prevent future issues ### Carrier Network Development - Actively prospect for new carriers (owner-operators and brokers) to strengthen our transportation network - Vet and onboard new carriers to improve service levels and coverage - Build relationships with carriers to ensure reliable capacity and competitive rates ### Transportation Cost & Performance Monitoring - Monitor fuel trends and related transportation costs - Track freight rates and identify pricing trends - Support transportation compliance and operational reporting as required - Provide data and insights to the Trucking Network & Operations Manager for decision-making ## What We're Looking For - 3-5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations - Experience working with both owner-operator carriers and trucking brokers - Strong communication skills—you can handle difficult conversations with carriers, depots, and internal teams - Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment - Problem-solving mindset—you stay calm under pressure and find solutions quickly - Detail-oriented with commitment to accuracy in inventory and system updates - Comfortable with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and logistics software - Proactive and resourceful—you see what needs to be done and do it without waiting to be asked - Thrives in a direct communication culture where feedback is immediate and honest - Ability to juggle reactive tasks while also working on longer-term improvements like carrier prospecting - Experience in container logistics, freight forwarding, or similar industries is a plus ## What We Offer - Hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, Charleston, SC, 2 days remote) - 25 days PTO - Comprehensive benefits package - A team culture built on direct communication and psychological safety - Opportunity to build strong relationships with carriers and depots across North America - Exposure to all aspects of logistics operations in a growing company - Room to take on increasing responsibility and grow your impact over time - Work with a lean team where your contributions directly impact customer satisfaction _Eveon Containers, Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
