Founded by Kyle Dion and the team of nearly 50 artists, engineers, developers and architects, the team is dedicated to giving back. Similar to Eveon, New Line Skateparks transforms unused and underappreciated spaces into carefully engineered bowls of talent, creativity and athleticism. Both Eveon and New Line create opportunity where others - may have just seen empty space. We were eager to learn more about how the Florida- based company is building portable functional workstations for their traveling teams.
We recently had the opportunity to sit down with the Tony Misiano, Construction Project Manager of New Line and an OG in pump tracks - to talk boards, bowls and sea can boxes.
“We have utilized containers for onsite storage since 2010 and find Sea Cans to be reliable, strong and secure. Once loaded each sea can have up to 22k lbs of materials and resources inside. That makes them an incredibly efficient resource for New Line to have onsite.”
“Once our team and tools are onsite, the build out of a park can take from 6-12 months. It’s imperative our tools, cranes, batteries and equipment are in place and highly secure. Traditional onsite storage while effective is not a secure as Corten Steel, giving our onsite crew the peace of mind that their tools are safe in remote locations.” New Line Skateparks is built on passion, creativity, empowerment and integrity. Used shipping containers are growing in popularity as a solution for onsite portable and secure storage, especially in remote areas where tools and equipment are often at risk of theft or weather damage. Built from heavy-duty Corten Steel, containers are designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, making them highly weather-resistant and dependable. Their solid, lockable doors provide robust protection against unauthorized access, helping to deter theft and vandalism.
Easy to transport and place on-site, they offer a convenient, cost-effective alternative to constructing permanent structures, ensuring valuable items remain safe, dry, and accessible where they’re needed most. If you are interested in wind and watertight storage for your next construction site, explore our available stock.
You can expect visible dents and rust but what is most important is that the shipping container is wind and watertight and in good condition. This means it to have no cracks or holes, the floor is in good condition and that the door seals are tight enough to keep out any wind or water. If you were to stand inside the container with the doors closed, you should not see any light. It is important to get a WWT container to keep the goods you plan to store inside secure from weather elements.
Container floors are typically constructed with marine-grade plywood, providing durability and moisture resistance. The floor features steel cross members, wooden floor joists, and treated plywood sheets.
Depending on their size, a shipping containers weight will vary. Standard 20ft shipping containers have a tare weight of 4,914 lbs. Standard 40ft shipping containers have a tare weight of 8,159 lbs. Standard 40ft High Cube shipping containers have a tare weight of 8,747 lbs.
